Each month will feature a new theme or character, with photos, snacks, and raffles included.

February Bird Walk Learn about a variety of birds from the Amigos birding experts, for FREE! We start at 8:30 am, meet in the south parking lot at the Reserve, on Pacific Coast Hwy halfway between Warner and Seapoint, directly across the Hwy from the entrance to Bolsa Chica State Beach. The Bolsa Chica provides feeding and nesting habitat for thousands of birds and is considered one of the prime birding sites in Southern California, and we would be so excited to share this beautiful place with you.

Laguna Art Museum Kids Studio Two kid-friendly workshops are offered this day: at 9:00 AM, LAM Kids Sensory-Friendly Studio provides a supportive artmaking experience designed for children who benefit from a calmer environment; at 11:00 AM, kids will work with LAMโ€™s Education Team to experiment with different artistic mediums and styles, explore the museum galleries, and participate in engaging, hands-on activities. Community Day at the Back Bay This is an open houseโ€“style event with staff and volunteers available to answer questions. Stop by anytime between 10amโ€“2pm on Sundays to tour the facility, including the Shellmaker Trail, teaching lab, aquatic lab, and touch tanks. Learn about the Back Bay Science Centerโ€™s educational programs and ways to get involved. The Newport Bay Conservancy Native Plant Nursery will also be open, featuring native California plants used for habitat restoration in Upper Newport Bay. Public animal feeding takes place from 12โ€“1pm, with opportunities to learn about the animals and their habitats.
